Terms and Conditions of Enrolment (December 2026 Workshop)
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to enrolment for the December 2026 Workshop ("Workshop") conducted by Node Robotics ("the School"). Together with the Workshop Registration Form, they form the agreement between the School and the parent/guardian of the Student ("Parent") as named in the Workshop Registration Form.
1. Enrolment
1.1. All enrolments are subject to these Terms, which become legally binding upon (a) the School's written confirmation of acceptance and (b) the Parent signing the Workshop Registration Form and the Acknowledgement below.
1.2. The School reserves the right to withhold acceptance of an enrolment at its discretion, if such action is deemed to be in the best interests of the Student or the School.
2. Program
2.1. "Regular Classes" means all weekly classes, courses, workshops and programmes developed, offered and conducted by the School each term other than the Workshop;
2.2. "Workshop" programmes include the "December 2026 Workshop", meaning all classes, courses, workshops and programmes developed, offered and conducted by the School and/or its staff for the Student, independently of and outside Regular Classes;
3. Application and Deposit
3.1. No deposit or application fee is payable for December 2026 Workshop enrolment at the School.
4. Early Withdrawal
4.1. Except as expressly provided in clause 6, fees paid for the Workshop are strictly non-refundable.
5. Fees
5.1. Workshop fees are billed and payable in full before the commencement of the first lesson of the Workshop, covering all classes enrolled for during the Workshop period.
5.2. Where any fee or part of a fee remains unpaid after the due date, the School reserves the right to:
5.2.1. Demand payment in full of all fees outstanding to that date; and/or
5.2.2. Cancel the registration of the Student without any refund of fees collected to date.
5.3. The School reserves the right to terminate the enrolment of a Student if the account remains outstanding after a final written reminder has been served.
6. Cancellation, Amendment and Rescheduling
6.1. The School reserves the right to cancel, amend or reschedule the Workshop by providing notice to the Parent at least 7 calendar days before the scheduled commencement date, with a full refund of fees paid.
6.2. Any Parent's request to reschedule a session to another date or timing must be submitted in writing and received by the School. Should no alternative date or timing be found suitable for both the School and the Parent, the following refund terms apply:
6.2.1. If the written request is received by the School more than 50 hours before the scheduled commencement of the session, the Parent is entitled to a full refund of the session's fees;
6.2.2. If the written request is received by the School less than 50 hours before the scheduled commencement of the session, the session's fees will not be refundable;
6.3. Where no written request is submitted and received by the School before the scheduled commencement of the session, the session's fees will not be refundable;
6.4. A maximum of only one reschedule by the Parent is allowed throughout the whole Workshop period, unless supported by valid reason(s) accepted at the School's discretion.
6.5. The School may consider and approve all other refunds and related amendments on a case-by-case basis at its sole discretion.
6.6. All refunds will be made within 14 days after the School approves the refund.
7. Admission and Termination
7.1. The School reserves the right to refuse admission to, or terminate the enrolment of, a Student where the School has reason, in its opinion, to determine that permanent exclusion or removal is required. The School shall not take such action without good cause and, where possible, will conduct a full consultation with the Parents prior to the termination.
8. Liability
8.1. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the School's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.
8.2. Subject to clause 8.1, the School shall not be liable for: (a) loss of or damage to property belonging to the Student or Parent brought onto or left at the School's premises; (b) injury, loss or damage sustained during the Workshop, except where caused by the School's negligence; (c) the Student's safety or whereabouts after the Student leaves the School's premises or the supervision of the School's staff (including under clause 11.4); or (d) any claim arising from a medical condition or history not disclosed under clause 13.1 or the Acknowledgement, the Parent's breach of these Terms, or the Student's wilful misconduct.
8.3. Subject to clause 8.1, the School's total liability arising out of or in connection with the Workshop shall not exceed the fees actually paid for the Workshop.
8.4. The Parent shall indemnify the School against claims, losses and reasonable costs brought by third parties and arising from the Student's wilful misconduct or the Parent's breach of these Terms.
8.5. If the Student falls ill or is injured during the Workshop and the Parent cannot be contacted, the Parent authorises the School to seek emergency medical treatment for the Student and to contact the emergency secondary contact named in the Registration Form. The Parent shall be responsible for any resulting medical expenses.
9. Personal Data Protection
9.1. The Parent hereby consents to the School collecting and using personal data for operations, marketing, publication and publicity purposes, including but not limited to class progress updates to the Parent and photography at workshops.
9.2. Photographs or films of Students may appear on the School's website, social media or advertisements. These media may be used before, during or after the Student's enrolment with the School.
9.3. If the Parent does not wish the Student to appear in any of the above, the Parent must notify the School in writing at the time of application or during the Student's enrolment with the School.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1. All programme materials provided for the Workshop, including but not limited to notes, worksheets and slides, belong to the School and are copyrighted. Students and Parents are strictly not allowed to share, sell, distribute and/or reproduce these materials outside of the class by any means. The materials are not to be transmitted in any way, except for the Student's own personal use.
10.2. Voice and video recording by Student or Parent is strictly prohibited throughout the session. Photos and videos may be taken during the sessions by the School, and may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by the School, unless opted out in writing.
11. Parental Obligation
11.1. Workshop sessions are held according to the schedule published in the Workshop Registration Form, and it is a contractual obligation on the part of the Parent to ensure that the Student attends classes punctually.
11.2. No replacement or extension of the class will be conducted if the Student arrives late. The Student will continue with the rest of the class and will be released according to the class schedule.
11.3. The Parent must inform the School in writing of any potential or prolonged absence of the Student.
11.4. The School will provide a 15-minute grace period after the end of class for the Parent to collect the Student. The School does not supervise the Student outside this period and shall not be liable for the Student's safety after this period, or if the Student leaves the centre's premises without an instructor's permission or for any other reason.
11.5. The Parent will not be allowed to attend the class with the Student, unless granted special permission by the School.
11.6. It is not part of the School's obligations to send reminders for the Student to attend any class. In the case that the Student fails to attend the arranged classes, the class will be forfeited, subject to clauses 6.3 and 6.4, and no refund will be issued.
12. Students' Progress Report
12.1. A Student's progress report may be obtained upon written request to the School.
12.2. On the request of the Parent, the progress report may be transferred to the Parent in a verbal or written form.
12.3. The progress report will be available no earlier than 5 business days after the School receives the written request.
13. Special Educational Needs Students
13.1. The Parent must inform the School of any academic, physical or behavioural issues relating to the Student prior to formal enrolment application. In such cases, all relevant supporting documentation will be requested. Failure to inform the School of any relevant issues may jeopardize the enrolment or continued enrolment of the Student.
13.2. Where a Student with Special Educational Needs is enrolled with the School, subsequent ongoing placement will be based upon the Student's ability to continue to function independently within the School's regular programme and where the placement does not adversely affect the learning or well-being of other Students.
13.3. A provisional or, in the case of behavioural issues, a probationary placement may be offered. In such cases, the Student may be requested to terminate their enrolment if this is considered to be in the best interests of the Student and/or the School community as a whole.
14. Governing Law
14.1. This agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore. A person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce any of its terms.
15. Reservation of Rights
15.1. The School reserves the following rights:
15.1.1. To alter the content, nature and venue of a programme, subject to clause 6.1 where a session or the Workshop is cancelled, amended or rescheduled;
15.1.2. To alter the details of any published information at any time;
15.1.3. To alter the method of payment if deemed necessary at any time.
16. Amendments
16.1. The School may amend these Terms or issue new Terms from time to time. Amendments take effect from the date the School notifies the Parent by email to the address in the School's records and/or posts the updated Terms on the School's website, and apply to enrolments commencing after that date.
